The first Parfume maker in the World - Farina
The original Eau de Cologne was launched in Cologne in 1709 by an Italian fragrancist Giovanni Maria Farina (1685–1766). Based on a secret family formula that since was never cracked. It consists of orange, grapefruit, lemon, bergamot, citron, lime, floral and herbal notes. Farina, named his fragrance Eau de Cologne, in honour of his new hometown, also known as Koeln in Germany.

Though many tourist guides take their groups to one of the many luxurious 4711 shops, instead of to Farina. They are probably well rewarded for this...
